Fed Raises Rates

After a pause in June, the Fed yesterday announced another increase of 0.25 percentage points to the benchmark federal funds rate. With that change, the prime rate is now 8.50%. The new rate will will apply immediately.


The next rate announcement is scheduled for September 20, 2023.
