Fed Raises Rates Again

The Federal Reserve today announced another increase of 0.75 percentage points to the benchmark federal funds rate, which will push the prime rate from 6.25% to 7.0%. The new rate will apply to Chapter 13 plans proposed at meetings of creditors and confirmation hearings next week.


Further increases are expected. The next rate announcement is scheduled for December 14th.
