Fed Raises Rates Again

The Federal Reserve today announced another increase to the benchmark federal funds rate. This month's increase is not as large as recent changes, but it is still a significant 0.50 percentage points. The prime rate will increase from 7.0% to 7.5%, and the new rate will apply for Chapter 13 plans proposed at meetings of creditors and confirmation hearings next week.
